Author Guidelines
OMNICOM Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi FIKOM UNSUB Received Text in the form of ideas and research results. Articles which are appropriate to be published fulfill the following conditions:
GENERAL
Papers must be original and should not have been previously accepted for publication in any journals. Papers must be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia. Papers are written in MS Word and only format: docx. Papers should be written in 1.5 line spacing and Times New Roman 12 font size. Full papers should be between 6.000-8.000 word (20-25 pages), including abstract, references, tables, figures, and charts. Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of the content of their paper and shall avoid plagiarism.
Paper Structure:
Full papers should be between 6.000-8.000 word (20-25 pages), including tables, figure, and references at 1.5 line spacing and Times New Roman 12 font size. Papers should be prepared in the following order:
Title page
The organization shown below should be followed (in the order given):
- Title of the paper
- Author name (s)
- Author affiliation
- Address(es) of the institution(s) at which the work was performed
- Name, postal and e-mail addresses
Abstract (200-300 words)
The Abstract is written in English and Bahasa Indonesia. It should be prepared in one paragraph covers the problem, objectives, concept or theory, method, results, and conclusion.
Keywords
Immediately after the abstract, written in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Maximum of 5 keywords separated by comma (,), crucial to the appropriate indexing of the papers, are to be given.
Introduction (1500-2000 words)
The Introduction presents the purpose of the studies reported and their relationship to earlier work in the field. The introduction to the manuscript provides background research, the results of literature review to show the main limitation of the previous researches, what do you hope to achieve (to solve the limitation), and to show the scientific merit or novelties of the manuscript. Authors should state the objectives of the work at the end of the introduction section.
Literature review (1500-2000 words)
This section contains the concept or theory used by the author. This section is important to show the reader the definition of the concept, debate, and development of the concept or theory used. The literature review should be relevant to the topic of the paper.
Research methodology (500-700 words)
The method includes the design, type of research, population, sample, techniques/instruments of data collection and data analysis procedures.
Results and Discussion (3000-5000 words)
Results are research findings and should be clear and concise without opinions. Table, chart, and figures are put in the result. It should be limited up to six tables or pictures with a short title. The Discussion section should be an interpretation of the results rather than a repetition of the Results section. Make the discussion corresponding to the results, but do not reiterate the results. The following components should be covered in discussion: How do your results relate to the original question or objectives outlined in the Introduction section (what)? Do you provide interpretation scientifically for each of your results or findings presented (why)? Are your results consistent with what other investigators have reported (what else)?
Conclusions (500-700 words)
Conclusions should answer the objectives of the research. The conclusion includes summarize your research, spell out your contribution, state the limitation of your study, and suggest potential areas of further research.
Acknowledgments
Place Acknowledgments, including information on the source of any financial support, received for the work being published
Writing Format:
Papers must be written in A4 paper size. (21cm x 29.7 cm) and the automatic margins that have been set for this paper size must be strictly adhered to for all text, headings, tables and figures.
Tables
All tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals. Headings should be placed above tables, left justified. Leave one line space between the heading and the table. Only horizontal lines should be used within a table, to distinguish the column headings from the body of the table, and immediately above and below the table. Tables must be embedded into the text and not supplied separately.
Illustrations
All figures should be numbered with Arabic numerals (1, 2,). All photographs, schemas, graphs and diagrams are to be referred to as figures. Line drawings should be good quality scans or true electronic output. Low-quality scans are not acceptable. Figures must be embedded into the text and not supplied separately. Please follow the template style for all the above features.
Reference
Reference writing using APA (American Psychological Association) Style. Use hanging indent (1 cm). The font size must be 11, line spacing must be 12pt. Here are the samples in the format of APA Referencing Style (6th edition).
