Metode penelitian yang dipakai yaitu korelasional dengan penerapan teknik random cluster sampling. Tingkat motivasi peserta didik diukur melalui angket skala likert, sesertagkan hasil belajar diukur melalui raport. Data deskriptif menunjukkan rata-rata skor motivasi peserta didik sebesar 76,83, sesertagkan rata-rata skor hasil belajar mencapai 89,29. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa termampu dampak yang signifikan antara motivasi peserta didik kepada hasil belajar Penjas. Korelasi antara motivasi belajar peserta didik dengan prestasi belajar Penjas mencapai 0,353 yang mampu dikategorikan korelasi sesertag. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar peserta didik ialah faktor penting dalam mencapai hasil belajar yang ideal. Dengan kata lain, semakin besar motivasi peserta didik maka semakin baik pula prestasinya dalam pembelajaran mata pelajaran Penjas.</p> Iyan Nurdiyan Haris Ari Gana Yulianto Rosti Rosti Ni Luh Puniasari Copyright (c) 2024 Biormatika : Jurnal ilmiah fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan 2024-02-28 2024-02-28 10 1 1 9 10.35569/biormatika.v10i1.1909 Translation Strategy Through Pragmatic Lens: Speech Act Analysis on The Campaign Media <p>Communication plays an essential role in transporting messages, feelings, ideas, or even an influence. They are transmitted both verbally and non-verbally. This study elaborates on the use of speech acts in campaign advertising, specifically on billboards and posters as a means of conveying a candidate’s message through written communication in non-English languages in Tasikmalaya City. The capacity to use language in an assortment of settings while reflecting the relationship between the speakers and social cultural context of the situation is known as pragmatic competence. This research is a descriptive qualitative study; data analysis was conducted in two steps. firstly, it was carried out through a translation process which was done by English Education Department students in varied study grades; furthermore, the translation result was analyzed by the researcher to seek Chesterman's translation strategy through the lens of Pragmatics. The writer applied Miles and Huberman's data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to analyse the data. The data reduction categorized the message into several categories of illocutionary acts using the translations that have been organized, then it was continued by classifying them according to Searle’s theory of speech act. This study shows that coherence change at 42.3%, trans editing at 23.1%, explicit change at 19.2%, cultural filtering at 11.5%, and illocutionary change at 3.8%; those reflect the translation strategy usage. Furthermore, the illocutionary act shows assertive 58.3%, directive 25%, and commissive 16.7%. Moreover, the pedagogical implications of the analysis are leading students to the awareness that translation can be done using various strategies, enhancing students’ understanding of translation strategies, and sharpening students’ critical thinking.</p> Risma Julistiana Wida Mulyanti Setyo Wati Copyright (c) 2024 Biormatika : Jurnal ilmiah fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan 2024-02-28 2024-02-28 10 1 10 22 10.35569/biormatika.v10i1.1850 Pengaruh Konseling Kelompok Dengan Teknik shaping Untuk Meningkatkan Kedisplinan Siswa <p>Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konseling kelompok dengan Teknik <em>Shaping</em> untuk meningkatkan kedisplinan siswa di kelas VIII G SMP Negeri 8 magelang. Pendekatan ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan model <em>One Group Pretest-Posttest Design.</em> Subjek dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan Teknik <em>Purposive Sampling</em>. Sampel yang daimbil dalam penelitian ini yaitu konsleing kelompok Teknik <em>Shaping. </em>Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 7 siswa. Ada dua variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu variabel bebas yang berupa konseling kelompok Teknik <em>Shaping</em>. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan instrument angket. Uji validitas instrument kedisplinan siswa. Analisis data menggunakan parametric dengan Teknik uji <em>Paired Sample T-test. </em>Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kedisplinan siswa di sekolah mengalami kenaikan setelah memperoleh layanan konseling kelompok Teknik shaping dengan rata-rata perubahan 19,7% dan hasil analisis uji <em>Paired Sample T-test, Sig.2 tailed </em>menunjukan =0,000 &lt; 0,05, hasil probabilitas menunjukan kurang dari 0,05 maka hipotesis diterima. Berdsarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa layanan konseling kelompok dengan Teknik <em>Shaping </em>efektif dalam meningkatkan kedisplinan siswa di sekolah kelss VIII G SMP Negeri 8 Magelang.</p> Hijrah Eko Putro Ika Puty Nur Fitria Nofi Nur Yuhenita Indiati Indiati Copyright (c) 2024 Biormatika : Jurnal ilmiah fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan 2024-02-28 2024-02-28 10 1 23 29 10.35569/biormatika.v10i1.1782 Instagram Features as Media for Learning English Listening Comprehension <p>This study aimed to investigate what Instagram features that help students in learning English listening comprehension, and to find out the students’ perceptions towards Instagram as a media to learn the subject. Mixed method was used for this study, specifically in the form of a case study in one secondary school in Cimahi, West Java, Indonesia. Ten secondary school students aged between 15 and 18 years were chosen as participants of this study. The researchers tried to create Instagram content that would help the students learn the subject, combined with the use of questionnaires, classroom observation, and students’ interview to obtain data. Data from questionnaires were analyzed using percentage calculation, data from classroom observation were analyzed based on the activities in the classroom and displayed in the form of table, while students’ interview were analyzed based on deductive thematic data analysis. The result shows that the students are familiar with Instagram Story, Post, Reel, and Live. These Instagram features were used as tools for learning English Listening comprehension. The students perceived that the use of Instagram features for listening English comprehension could help them develop their potencies, make the learning materials more interested, assist them to learn and be more creative.</p> Ridha Mardiani Nisrina Syifa Ursila Copyright (c) 2024 Biormatika : Jurnal ilmiah fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan 2024-02-28 2024-02-28 10 1 30 42 10.35569/biormatika.v10i1.1911 The Use of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) Approach in Teaching Speaking Skill <p>Speaking is one of four English skills that students must master because it is an important skill. To teach speaking, teachers can use Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach. The main purposes of this research are to find out the students' response to the CLT in teaching speaking, to figure out the problems faced by teacher in using CLT in teaching speaking, and to explore how teacher solves problems encountered in using CLT in teaching speaking. This study was conducted at a private junior high school in North Bandung. A descriptive qualitative research design was employed in this study with three data collection techniques, namely observation, questionnaire and interview. The participants involved were an English teacher and 27 students of the 7<sup>th</sup> grade of Binar Ilmu Junior High School. To analyze the data, a framework of CLT proposed by Richards &amp; Rodgers, (2014) was used. The results show that the students responded positively to the use of CLT in teaching speaking skill. Furthermore, there were three problems faced by the teacher in the use of CLT, namely the lack of students’ interaction, the limited students’ concentration, and the limited time allocation. Through small group discussion as a learning strategy can help students’ in learning English. This study, focused on a described implementation of using small group discussion in an EFL classroom and perceived students’ responses about this strategy. This case study was conducted at Vocational High School, consists of 34 students and was designed for two meetings with the material analytical exposition text. To triangulate the data, observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation were used as an instrument. The result shows that implementation by group discussion the students more easily to analyze and makes an analytical exposition given by the researcher. Although in the first meeting, there were students who did not seem to participate in the process of discussion, but in second meeting, students participated actively and they could manage themselves to work in-group. In the questionnaire, 100% of students agree that using small group discussion is very suitable for learning English in vocational school. Based on the interview, students argue that by small group discussion it can be solved the task easily because they have the various opinions during group discussion. Small Group Discussion really helped the students. The students could share their knowledge and opinion in doing the exercises and discussing the answer to the exercises. Based on the result, it can be concluded that implementing small group discussion as a learning strategy is a good way of teaching and learning English.</p> Ika Sapitri Mimin Aminah Muhammad Anjar Nugraha Copyright (c) 2024 Biormatika : Jurnal ilmiah fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan 2024-02-28 2024-02-28 10 1 59 65 10.35569/biormatika.v10i1.1739 Perbedaan Sport Education dan Konvensional Terhadap Motivasi Mahasiswa Pembelajaran Bola Voli Dalam Kurikulum MBKM <p>Program studi (prodi) bidang olahraga sudah seharusnya memilih strategi pembelajaran yang cocok untuk meningkatkan kualitas dari pembelajaran yang sejalan dengan kurikulum Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM). Penelitian ini bertujuan ingin menguji perbedaan pengaruh antara <em>Sport Education</em> (SE) dan konvensional terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan ekperimen dengan <em>the matching-only posttest-only control group design</em>. Partisipan yang terlibat didalam penelitian ini sebanyak 78 orang mahasiswa disalah satu prodi bidang olahraga di Kabupaten Indramayu sebagai sampel menggunakan teknik <em>convenience sampling</em>. Instrumen penelitian dengan menggunakan SRQ-L untuk mahasiswa olahraga sebanyak 10 item tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskripsi statisik dan <em>independent sample t-test</em>. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara SE dan konvensional terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa dengan SE lebih baik daripada konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil serta temuan penelitian menyatakan bahwa SE memberikan hal yang positif untuk pembelajaran bola voli khususnya pada tingkat PT. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan menggali pandangan guru-guru biologi di empat sekolah yang sudah menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Instrumen menggunakan pedoman wawancara yang disusun berdasarkan pedoman wawancara Jannah dan Harun tahun 2023. Teknik Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara pada empat guru di sekolah yang telah menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa: (1) kurikulum merdeka dianggap lebih fleksibel dibanding kurikulum 2013; (2) penilaian sumatif dan formatif sangat ditekankan dalam kurikulum merdeka; (3) Nilai nilai P5 sudah diterapkan dalam pembelajaran namun belum maksimal; (4) penggunaan teknologi juga penting terutama dalam pembelajaran proyek; (5) guru sangat mendukung pembelajaran mandiri siswa meskipun peran sebagai fasilitator tetap diutamakan; (6) guru belum mengetahui sepenuhnya tentang respon siswa terhadap kurikulum ini karena penerapannya belum lama dilakukan; (7) kolaborasi antara guru biologi dalam memaksimalkan penerapan kurikulum ini telah dilakukan meskipun belum maksinal; (8) bagi guru, kurikulum ini memeliki kelebihan terutama dalam proses penyusunan perangkat; (9) sekolah sudah melakukan beberapa upaya agar penerapan kurikulum ini bagi guru dapat maksimal; (10) guru memerlukan pelatihan lebih lanjut mengenai implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kurikulum merdeka dinilai lebih fleksibel, penerapannya masih memerlukan waktu untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam dari para guru, sehingga perlu adanya pelatihan lebih lanjut guna meningkatkan efektivitas implementasinya.</p> Miswandi Tendrita Sutriani Kaliu Copyright (c) 2024 Biormatika : Jurnal ilmiah fakultas keguruan dan ilmu pendidikan 2024-02-29 2024-02-29 10 1 76 86 10.35569/biormatika.v10i1.1942 Didactical Engineering Untuk Mengembangkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis Siswa SMA <p>Berbagai penelitian, baik di tingkat internasional maupun nasional mengungkapkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMA masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini yakni mendesain bahan ajar berdasarkan langkah-langkah <em>Didactical Engineering</em> (DE) yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMA, serta menganalisis <em>learning obstacle</em> siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMA. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis sangat diperlukan, karena itu perlu dimiliki setiap siswa, demikian pula pemahaman terhadap karakteristik siswa, guru dapat meminimalkan munculnya pembelajaran yang justru menimbulkan tekanan negatif terhadap siswa. <em>Didactical Engineering</em> (DE) telah terbukti mampu mengembangkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa, sehingga <em>Didactical Engineering </em>(DE) diduga dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan desain <em>Didactical Engineering </em>(DE).
