Improving Student Speaking Skills by Watching Movie

The purpose of this study is to determine how effective using movies to improve student speaking skills is. This study was carried out at Indonesian high school Senior High School No. 1 Subang Regency, West Java Province. There were 70 students who contributed samples. The study employed a quasi experimental design with pre- and post-testing. The pre-test determined the
students' basic speaking ability, and the post-test determined the students' improvement in speaking after the treatment using a movie.
