Author Guidline

1.     General Provisions

Manuscripts submitted to MESA Journal must be original works that have not been published or are not under consideration in other journals. Authors are responsible for the content of the manuscript, including originality, citations, and permissions for any materials used. Manuscripts can be written in either proper and academic Bahasa Indonesia or English.

2.     Scope of Manuscript

MESA Journal accepts research articles, literature reviews, or technological development papers in the following fields:

a) Mechanical Engineering

b) Electrical Engineering

c) Civil Engineering

d) Architecture

3.     Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be structured as follows:

a) Article Title (in both Bahasa Indonesia and English)

b) Author Names and Affiliations

c) Abstract and Keywords (max. 200 words, in both languages)

d) Introduction

e) Research Methodology

f) Results and Discussion

g) Conclusion and Recommendation

h) Acknowledgements (if any)

i) References

4.     Formatting Requirements

a) Manuscripts must be prepared in MS Word format, Times New Roman font, size 12 pt, 1.15 line spacing, with normal margins (2.5 cm on all sides).

b) The length of the manuscript should be between 8–15 pages, including figures and tables.

c) Figures and tables must be numbered sequentially, titled clearly, and include source references if adopted from another work.

d) Citations and references should follow IEEE or APA style (based on the latest editorial policy).

5.     Plagiarism

All submitted manuscripts will be checked using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin). The maximum similarity tolerance is 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this limit will be returned to the authors.

6.     Peer Review Process

a) Manuscripts passing the initial screening will undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.

b) The average review period is 2–4 weeks.

c) Final decision on the manuscript is made by the Editorial Board based on the reviewers’ recommendations.

7.     Publication Charges

Currently, MESA Journal does not charge any submission or publication fees (free of charge). However, this policy may change in the future based on journal management needs.

8.     Copyright and License

Authors agree that accepted manuscripts will be published as open access under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. Authors retain copyright of their work.

9.     Manuscript Submission
