FOCUS AND SCOPE

MESA (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Architecture) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Subang. The journal aims to promote and disseminate scholarly research, development, and innovation across the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Architecture.

MESA Journal welcomes original research articles, technical papers, case studies, and theoretical or empirical studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge, methodologies, and practices in the fields of engineering and the built environment.

In addition to original articles, MESA Journal also features the following key focus areas:

1) Mechanical Engineering

Covers research and development in the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems and machinery. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Thermodynamics and heat transfer
  • Renewable energy systems
  • Mechanical structures and stress analysis
  • Robotics and automation
  • Advanced manufacturing and CAD/CAM systems

2) Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Encompasses topics in both low and high-voltage systems, electronics, and intelligent technologies, including:

  • Internet of Things (IoT) and Smart Systems

3) Civil Engineering

4) Architecture

5) Interdisciplinary and Applied Engineering

MESA encourages submission of studies that bridge across engineering disciplines, explore real-world applications, or address regional and global engineering challenges, such as:

  • Climate-responsive building and technology
  • Engineering education and curriculum development
  • AI and machine learning in engineering applications

The Editorial Board of MESA Journal invites manuscripts that are well-structured, methodologically sound, and contribute significantly to the engineering and architecture professions. Manuscripts using rigorous quantitative or qualitative research, as well as design-based case studies, are especially encouraged. Each submission should be supported by a comprehensive literature review and present clear implications, innovations, and limitations of the study.
